Mary Morales

Mary Alice “M.A.” Payne Morales, age 75, of Trussville, AL passed away on June 17, 2018. M.A. was a graduate of Hewitt Trussville High School and a graduate of Alverson Draughon Business College. She was a devoted Christian and of Baptist Faith. M.A. was a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was preceded in death by her father, Hansel Bernard Payne and her mother, Venie Lee Martin Payne, as well as, her sister, Paula Ellen Payne Hopton-Jones. M.A. is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Juan Morales; her daughter, Lee Ellen Hunter; her son-in-law, Blake Hunter; her fur baby, Cutie Pie Morales and grand dog, Harley Bigfoot Hunter; her three brothers, Arthur Lee Payne, Charles Alexander Payne and John Hansel Payne. A funeral service for M.A. will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior. A committal service will be held at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining garden immediately following the chapel service. Reverend Bobby Erwin is officiating. The Order of the Eastern Star will be hosting a reception at the Trussville Masonic Lodge Hall 190 Beechnut St. Trussville, AL 35173.
