Mary Mashburn

Mary Ruth Mashburn, age 93 of Birmingham, AL passed away on October 21, 2010. She is retired from Birmingham News after 16 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Mashburn, Sr., her daughters, Ruth Jeanette Schmidt and Phyllis Grace Dickinson, grandson, Jeff Beavers and great granddaughter, Kristen Moore. She is survived by her children, Charles Mashburn (Sue), Carolyn Beavers, Doris Speakman, and James Mashburn, Jr.; sisters, Grace Sides, Sybil Smalley (Bill), and Alice Burns (Frank); 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Services will be on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
