Mary Davis

Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Davis age 84 of Brownsboro, AL passed away on October 9, 2008 at her home after a short battle with cancer. She is formerly from Birmingham, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Davis, Sr. and her parents, Hardieman and Maye Theresa Berry. She retired from JC Penny Company after 28 years of service. She was a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church where she worked in the Child Development Center for a number of years. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed preparing Sunday dinner for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Robert J. "Bob" Davis, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Brownsboro and Thomas Lee "Tommy" Davis and his wife, Carolyn of Centerville, AL; sister, Beckie Hill of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren, Mark Davis, Shannon Mitchell, Gary Davis, Deana Davis, PJ Davis, Kim Penny and Kristie Nelson; nine great grandchildren, Chris Davis, Connor Davis, Bryant Davis, Matthew Davis, Isaac Davis, Ian Davis, Courtney Howton, Krislyn Nesbitt, and Cameron Nesbitt. Visitation will be at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home located on Highway 11 in Trussville, AL on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Roy Lowery officiating.
