Mary Caufield

Mary Jane Grace Caufield, age 55, was called home to Heaven on Monday, March 16, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary enjoyed a successful career as a programmer for companies in both IL and AL, and was a member of ClearBranch UMC. She was born in Gridley, IL and has been a resident of AL for many years. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin H. Grace, Sr., sister, Shirley Self, and granddaughter, Emily Faith Cotton, and leaves behind a devoted husband, Gary LaDon Caufield, and three loving sons, James Harvey (Amy) Cotton Jr., Jonathon Daniel (Joanna) Cotton, and Paul Allen Caufield. She was a proud "Granny" to Mason Gregory, Nora Grace, Elizabeth Joy, and Allison Brooke. She is also survived by mother, Evelyn J. Grace, two brothers, Melvin H. (Ruth) Grace, Jr. and William (Jowanda) Grace, a sister, Dianne Bullard-Turner, all of Illinois, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Trussville, AL, with graveside services to follow in the gardens.
