Mary Brown

Brown, Mary Nell Craig, age 75 passed away on August 25, 2009. She was a lifelong resident of Birmingham, living in the Avondale area the majority of her life. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School. She was retired from Liberty National with 20 years of service. She was a member of Avondale United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis W. "Buddy" Brown, and her parents, John E. Craig, Sr. and Mary Adele Craig. She is survived by her son, Craig Brown (Deborah), her sister, Catherine Meadors (Toliver), her brother, John E. Craig, Jr. (Betty) and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Madison, and Lea Brown. Graveside services will be Friday, August 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Adult Down Syndrome Clinic at UAB in honor of her grandson, Nicholas Brown.
