Mary Attaway

Mary Ann Attaway, born on February 8, 1928, went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2011. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Mrs. Attaway was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Attaway. Mary Ann worked for several years at Liberty National Life Insurance Company. She leaves behind 4 children, Margaret Germann, Francis E. Attaway, Thomas E. Attaway, and Stephen J. Attaway; also 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends survive Mrs. Attaway. She was a member of St. Barnabas and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Churches. The family wishes to thank the staff of Fairhaven Nursing Home and Odyssey Hospice for their care of our beloved mother. Visitation and Rosary service will be on Friday, August 12 from 5:00 PM - 7:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 13 at 10:00AM at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
