Mary Allsopp

Mary John Allsopp, a longtime resident of Roebuck died July 1. She was born in 1943 in Birmingham, AL. She attended Woodlawn High School and was retired from the Printing Industry. Mary enjoyed participating in softball leagues and tournaments throughout the Southeast. She was inducted into the Central Alabama Softball Hall of Fame in 1987. She remained an avid softball enthusiast; attending tailgates and tournaments throughout the State. She is survived by her sister, Joanne A. McGough, sister-in-law Joan Allsopp and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 5, at 11am at Elmwood Cemetery.
