Mary Ellen (Tucker) Allen was born on September 22, 1925 in York, Alabama. She was raised in Selma and later moved to the Killough Springs area of Birmingham and then to Gardendale. She was a beloved spouse, mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great grandmother. She graduated from Ramsey High in Birmingham and Alverson Draughn Business College. She retired from Unisys Corporation.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rosa Estes and William J. Tucker, Sr., her husband Marion L. Allen, her daughter Sherry Ann Dulion, her brothers Jack, James and Fred Tucker.
She is survived by her sisters Ida Harper and Myrtle Butts, son William M. Allen,DVM (Sarah), grandchildren Amy Livingston (Ken), John Dulion, Marion Roberts (Chris), 8 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Her favorite activities were growing vegetables (especially tomatoes) and fishing for crappie and catfish.
A faithful member of Five Mile Prebyterian Church for over fifty years, she served on The Session, acted as treasurer for 30 years and, was Sunday night youth director, providing a Christian environment and guidance for the children of the Killough Springs and Lynn Acres neighborhoods.

Visitation will be at Five Mile Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, August 18th at 10:30am followed by funeral service at 11:00am. Graveside service and burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, Alabama.
