Marvin J Roye, III, age 73 of Springville, AL passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Service will be Monday, March 1st at 10AM at Jefferson Memorial Chapel with visitation held one hour prior. Burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL at 12:30 PM. Dr. Ric Camp officiating. Survivors include his wife, Belinda Roye, Springville, AL; sons, Keith Roye (Brandy), Marion, AL; Scott Roye (Mandy), Covington, LA; Jonathan Roye, Springville, AL; Mother, Faye Roye, Birmingham, AL; sister, Susan Roberts, Birmingham, AL; brothers, Charles Roye (Carol), Chester, VA, Ronald Roye (Barbara), Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Kalton Roye, Karsyn Roye, Koley Roye, Blake Roye, Brantley Roye, Braxton Roye, Mychal Roye, Dixon Roye; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Roye was a graduate of Demopolis High School, Gadsden State Junior College and the University of Alabama Birmingham. Mr. Roye served his country in Germany and Vietnam. Mr. Roye retired from the Alabama Department of Public Safety as a Captain in the Alabama Bureau of Investigation. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church’s Home Mission Fund.
