Martin O'Neal Cruce, age 77, of Birmingham, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2012. Mr. Cruce was a 40 year employee of the Norfolk Southern Railway (formerly known as Central of Georgia and Southern Railway). He was a member of the Florida Foreign Trade Association, and was chosen by them as a Pioneer in International Trade Transport Industry in 2008. He loved his work, but even more he loved his wife, his family, and his Lord. He served churches in Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale as a R.A. leader, Minister of Music for 14 years, and also a Deacon and Elder, and served on several church committees as well. At the time of his death he was teaching Sunday School at North Park Baptist Church in Trussville. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Clare; his three children, Jan DeKlavon (David), Susan Woodham (Willie), and Michael Cruce (Peggy). He leaves behind a godly heritage to his seven grandchildren, Stephen, Adam, Kyle, Michael, Randi, Amanda and Austin. Visitation will be Monday, April 23rd from 10AM - 12 noon at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Funeral services and burial will follow at 12 noon. Rev. Bill Wilks of North Park Baptist will officiate. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
