Martha Parker

Martha Roberts Parker, age 87, passed away on Sunday August 18th after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Martha was born in Athens, Alabama and moved to Birmingham at an early age where she remained a lifelong resident until her Death. She retired from the Jefferson County Criminal Court system. Martha was preceded in death by her first husband of 28 years, Billy Roberts Sr. and also by two of her sons, Johnny and Tommy Roberts. Martha is survived by her third son, Billy Roberts Jr., her second husband of 22 years, Donald Parker, grandchildren, Robbie Roberts Stefanski, Staci Roberts Storey, Ross Roberts, Sadie Roberts Summey and 4 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Green Vally Baptist Church in Hoover and a faithful servant of God. Her remaining family holds a deep faith in God because of the teachings of Martha. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at the Fairhaven nursing home Alzheimer's unit for their loving care. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org or Green Valley Baptist church. A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on September 14th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home at 1591 Gadsden Highway, Trussville, AL.
