Martha Horst

Mrs. Martha J. Horst, age 86 of Trussville, died Monday, November 04, 2013 in Birmingham. Mrs. Horst was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church, a loving Christian daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Frederick Horst; her son, Robert William "Bill" Horst and two brothers. Survivors include two daughters; Linda A. (Randall) Wade and Martha Jean "Jeannie" (Charles) Lockard; four sons, Harry (Kiru) Horst, Fred Lewis (Joann ) Horst, Martin Ray Horst and Christopher D. "Chris" Ogle; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jimmy Dunn and Rev. Charles Busby officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Robert William "Will" Horst, Martin C. Horst, Sean Glass, Patrick Horst, Marty Horst and Robert Horst III. The Horst family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:45 until 1:45 pm. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Trussville directing services.
