Martha Brand Franklin, 67, of Blount County, Ala., died on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015.Funeral services will be held at Twenty-Fifth Avenue Baptist Church of Center Point, Ala. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at at 11 a.m. The visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at Twenty-Fifth Avenue Baptist Church of Center Point, Ala. Martha Joyce Brand Franklin was born on Dec. 3, 1947 in the Cullman County community of northern Alabama. She is survived by her brother, Carter Earl Brand, her son, Jesse Barnard Franklin III, daughter, Shelley Franklin Bell, daughter, Lori Elizabeth Franklin-Balch, son-in-law, Samuel Eason Balch III, son-in-law, Jeremy Ryan Bell, daughter-in-law, Sierra Fenton, grandson, Samuel Franklin Balch, grandson, Jesse Barnard Franklin IV, granddaughter, Gisele Celeste Balch and a host of loving nieces, nephews and further extended family. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Jesse Barnard Franklin II, brother, James (Jimmy) Brand, brother, Charles Brand, mother, Cora Brand and father, Earl Brand. Her passion for many years was teaching. Most recently, she was an educator for the Blount County School System in Hayden, Ala. She was a life-long dedicated church member and volunteer for a multitude of Christian projects. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
