Martha Cook

Diane's best friend of many years, Peggy Sue Merrell found that Diane's prayers had been answered. God had called her home. Health problems had kept Diane from pursuing her nursing degree from UAB's School of Nursing. She was preceded in death by her father, Doyle LeRoy Cook and her nephew, Christopher M. McKay. She is survived by her mother, Martha Mae McLendon Cook, her sister, Sherry Cook McKay, nieces Casee and Jordan McKay, great nieces, Carlee Harding, Baylee McKay, and Renny Booker. Uncles and aunts, James E. McLendon (Pauline) and Byron A. McLendon (Jean), along with many cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Toby Glass Pet Fund at Grayson Valley Pet Clinic of Chalkville Mountain or to the First Baptist Church, Roebuck Plaza.
