Marshall Hovies

Marshall Clinton Hovies, age 73, passed away peacefully with his family lovingly around him, May 16, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beatrice Hovies; sons, Sam Hovies, Cliff Poe, Barry Simmons; granddaughters, Brittany Bowden, Amy Love, and Rebecca Clark. The viewing will be Saturday, May 18 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL. The funeral will be at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Brother James Purnell officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL. Marshall was a member of Teamsters Local 728 and worked in the motion picture industry for over 30 years. He was also a member of The American Legion post 113 Tarrant, AL. Marshall will be deeply missed by his family and many friends but will live on in our hearts and memories. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to St. Vincent's East SICU for the care and compassion shown to us during this difficult time, as well as to all of our dear and thoughtful friends for your prayers and support.
