Marjorie Bennett

Marjorie Bell Bennett, 93, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Newport News, Virginia. She lived most of her life in Birmingham, Alabama until moving in 2005 to Virginia to be closer to family. She was an active member of Huffman Baptist Church until her move. Her husband of 50 years, G. Walter Bennett, Jr, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Bennett Walkley (Bo) of Yorktown, Virginia, and sons Walter J. Bennett of Greensboro, NC, and Jim Bennett (Pattie) of Vienna, Va. She cherished her five grandchildren: Meredith (Jeff), Ashley, Matt (Natalie), Katie (Chad), and Austin and three great-grandsons. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
