Marion Riggins

Marion Joyce Riggins, 66, of Trussville, passed away peacefully at her home December 16, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Cullman. Her true passions in life was loving and caring for her family. Cooking is one of the things she most enjoyed and boy did she know how to cook. She graduated from Phillips High School in 1960 and was a member of Trussville Methodist Church. She touched us in many ways and her strength and love will be instilled in our hearts forever. She is preceded in death by her father Willard Walker, sisters Mary Evelyn Mullins and Diane Colafrancesco and brother Darrell Walker and her beloved 18 year old dog Gucci. Services will be Saturday December 20 at 12pm in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Trussville. Visitation will be from 10:30am until 12pm Saturday. She is survived by her mother Lois Walker, loving husband of 44 years Wally Riggins, daughter Tiffany Riggins, son Bass (Paige) Riggins, sisters Majel (Travis) McCullough, Denise (David) Nichols, brothers Ernie (Betsy) Walker, Randy (Molly) Walker, grandchildren Ali, Bass Madi, James and Ken, many nieces and nephews, lifelong friend Jody Stuedeman, and a niece who was like a daughter Lee Michelle Lewis. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Lakhanpal and Dr. MacLean and the nurses on the 5th floor at St. Vincent's East for their care and support.
