Marion Barefield

Marion Bingham Barefield, age 93 of Birmingham, passed away April 14, 2009. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Montgomery AL where she was the chairman of the altar guild committee. Mrs. Barefield was a graduate of Massey Business College and Jones Law School in Montgomery. She was employed with The Farmers Home Administration for 31 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Frank Barefield, Sr. and her sisters, Julia Edwards of Decatur, AL, Mary Virginia Hardie of Florence, AL and Ann Penton of Montgomery, AL. Survivors include her son, Frank Barefield Jr. (Pam) Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Dr. Thomas Bingham (Mary) and Alfred Bingham (Virginia) both of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, John Barefield, Lauren Barefield Crooks both of Birmingham, AL and many loving nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Decatur City Cemetery (Decatur, AL) with Rev. Sam Hardie III (her nephew) officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 113 Madison Avenue, Montgomery AL 36104. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
