Marilyn Christain

Mrs. Marilyn W. Christain, 63, passed away on December 2, 2016. She was born on January 3, 1953 in Columbus, MS to her late father, Albert Rex White Sr. and mother, Laura Thorley. She worked at Synovus Securities and was a member of Crestway Baptist Church where she loved serving as Director of Women's Mission for several years, sang in the choir, worked in the nursery and as a greeter, and loving helping with VBS. She is preceded in death by her father, Albert White and father-in-law, J.T. Christain. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ricky L. Christain of Birmingham, AL, mother, Laura Thorley White of Vernon, AL, sister, Carolyn Oglesby (Jimmy) of Columbus, MS, brothers, Al White (Tammy) of Crossville, AL and Lynn White (Donna) of Vernon, AL, brother-in-law, Daryl Christain (Cathy) of Columbus, GA and David Christain (Nancy) of Sulligent, AL, mother-in-law, Sue Christain Beaverton, AL, and several nieces, nephews, and many friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Crestway Baptist Church at 6400 Crestwood Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35212. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 from the church sanctuary with Reverend Jimmy Wilson officiating. On Wednesday, December 7, 2016 there will be a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 at Fairview Baptist Church at 702-1232 Fairview Rd. Sulligent, AL 35586. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
