Marie Spann

Marie Lawson Spann passed from this life on January 7, 2019 into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her time on earth was blessed by a host of lifelong treasured friends whom she loved dearly. She possessed a sharp mind with a near perfect recall which came in handy for remembering important dates such as birthdays, anniversaries and other events. Her passing has left a great void and she will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Henry Quinton Spann, son, David Quinton Spann and his wife, Linda. Also by her parents, William David Lawson and Alma (Vines) Lawson, sister, Doris Evelyn Scott, brothers, Pete Lawson, Van Clifton Joe Lawson, Bob Lawson and Ed Lawson. She is survived by her daughter, Leita Marie Spann and her sister, Emma Jean Lantrip; sister-in-law, Willie Jim Spann and many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved and cherished. Services will be on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 2 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services which will take place in the chapel. The burial will follow in the Masonic Garden at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
