Marie Poe

Marie Weems Palmer Poe, age 85 of Argo, AL passed away on October 11, 2015. She was a member of Argo Christian Fellowship Church. She fulfilled her lifelong dream by returning to school at the age of 50 and got her nursing degree. She is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Weems, sister, Lou Frazier, husband, Leon Poe, daughter, Shirley Gore and her granddaughter, Amy Bobo. She is survived by her children, Debbie Lambert (Ken), Teresa Clements (Dwight) and Doug Palmer (Cathy); sisters, Pat Pierce and Sis Bailey (W.T.); grandchildren, Jerry, Heath, Jamie, Joey, Angie, Torey, Shae, Cody, and Casey; 10 great grandchildren. Services will be on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 12 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Jerry Mahner will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Argo Christian Fellowship Building Fund. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
