Marie Owen

Marie Falkner Owen, age 94, became absent from the body and present with the Lord on July 10, 2016. She joined her husband of 57 years, John William Owen; her father, Baptist minister Earnest Falkner, Sr.; mother, Frankie Rawlins Falkner; grandson, Matthew McMurrey; brother, David Falkner. She is survived by her daughter, Judy McMurrey; son-in-law, Larry McMurrey; grandson, Owen McMurrey; sister, Ellen Falkner; brother, Ernest Falkner, Jr. Special thanks to niece, Jerrie Scogin; sister-in-law, Arlette Falkner.Mrs. Owen was a charter member of the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church and the former organist and Church treasurer. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 12pm at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, with Pastor Lee Roy Dutton officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
