Marian Webb

WEBB, MARIAN ELWELL, 78, went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2011. She was born to the late Martha and Kenneth Elwell of Anniston, Alabama on March 31, 1933. She graduated from Shades Valley High

School, studied at the Birmingham Conservatory of Music, and was an accomplished classical pianist. Marian

was the past Volunteer Coordinator of the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. She was an active member of the Alabama Conservancy, the Homewood Citizens Coalition Executive Committee, the Freedoms Foundation Valley Forge, and the Birmingham Opera Guild. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Survivors include two daughters, Michaele Travis (Gerald) of Birmingham and Liane Reznick (Andrew) of Los

Angeles, CA; grandsons, Hunter Barrow of Nashville, TN and Reed Barrow (Leigh) of Philadelphia, PA; great grandchildren, Hudson,Penelope, and Philomena Barrow of Philadelphia, PA. Special appreciation is

given to the staff of Shelby Ridge Nursing Home and Odyssey Hospice for their loving care. The family

requests that memorial gifts be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. A memorial service will

be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Shades Valley Presbyterian Church, 2305 Montevallo Road, Mountain Brook, AL. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church, followed by the memorial

service at 2:00 p.m.
