Margie Roper

Margie A. Roper, age 94 passed away Thursday, November 11th, 2021. Margie was born April 9, 1927 in Cullman, Alabama to Annie and Ellis Ashley.  A long-time resident of the Roebuck Springs area of Birmingham, Alabama, Margie was a active member of the South Roebuck Baptist Church; a proud member and past president of the Roebuck Springs Flower Association, she loved her community and worked hard to maintain it’s appearance, “ She Loved being and working outside ” . Margie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Roper, her cherished son, Mark Roper, her parents, Annie and Ellis Ashley and two brothers. She is survived by her loving son, David Roper, a granddaughter, Ashley Roper, two great grandsons, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive family and friends Tuesday, November 16, 2021 beginning at 1:00 pm followed with a graveside service at 2:00 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, Officiating Dr. Gary Fisher.
