Margaret Wideman Bagwell Petty

August 10, 1928 to November 17, 2023

Mrs. Petty was 95 yrs old.  

She enjoyed her roses, elephant ears, riding the lawnmower, and working in the yard each day.  She loved playing organ and piano, and way gifted as she played by ear.  Any song you wanted to hear.  She enjoyed her clown figurines.  Her grandson Jimmy would give her a "Clown" on each birthday.  She loved watching Alabama Football.

She worked for Alabama Metal and Mayer Electric for many years.  She had over 100 incoming and outgoing lines.  She loved her job and it showed in her performance.

She is preceded in death by her son, Eddie Bagwell.  She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Bagwell Lemonds, her brother, John Wideman, three grandchildren, of which Jimmy Lemonds who loved his grandmother with all of his heart, and two great grandchildren, Tyler and Zoey Lemonds.

Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home for family between 10:00 - 11:00 am, Public viewing  will be from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.   The service will be at 12:00pm in the Funeral Home Chapel, followed by burial at Forest Hill Cemetery.
