Margaret Overton

Margaret Louise Speights Overton, age 90, of Warrior, formerly of Birmingham, and a member of Grace Baptist Church of Sumiton, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Overton; her daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" Dale Overton and her grandson, David Michael Overton. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her three sons; Cecil (Kim) Overton of Tupelo, MS, Charles (Carol) Overton of Clay, AL and Ron (Judy) Overton of Warrior, AL; five grandchildren: Lisa Overton Robinson, Tim (Shannon) Overton, Shana (Brian) Bell of Tupelo, MS, Renee (Gary) Williams of Covington, GA (formerly of Clay, AL) and Chuck (Heather) Overton of Kimberly, AL; ten great-grandchildren, Kelly Robinson, Christopher Robinson, Jacob Overton, Luke Overton, Zack Overton, Parker Bell of Tupelo, MS, Jonathon Hudson of Birmingham, AL, Savannah (Steven) Sloan of Clay, AL, Andrew Overton and Matthew Overton of Kimberly, AL: two sisters and two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 12 PM to 1 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services to follow at 1 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Brother Andy Frazier, Grace Church Sumiton will be officiating over the services. Her family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to her sitter, Ververly Logan and the nursing staff at St. Vincent's Hospital Birmingham Emergency Room and MICU who were true blessings during this difficult time.
