Mardelle Brown of Birmingham, Alabama passed away August 9, 2014 at The Golden Living Center in Oxford, Alabama.
A graveside service will take place at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens on Gadsden Highway Saturday, 16 August, 2014 at 10 a.m.
Mardelle Louise was born July 22, 1929 in Rome, Georgia to Hugh T. and Annie Mae (Everett) Brown. In 1955 she married Robert B. Brown, Jr.
Mardelle, "Honey" was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She shared her love for God, family, life and music with everyone she met. She enjoyed many years as a member of the Sanctuary Choir and Innovator's Sunday School Class at East Lake United Methodist Church. Her love, laughter, kindness, and 'twinkle in her eye' will be missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert B. Brown, and her daughter Eleanor Ann Brown.
She is survived by her son Thomas L. Brown and wife, Emily of Fultondale, AL; her son William Dennis Brown and wife, Susan of Pinson, AL; her daughter Brenda B. McKean and husband, Mike of Danville, AL; and her daughter Lisa M. Harris of Anniston, AL. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers at the Golden Living Centers in Pell City and Oxford, AL for their kindness and love that was shown to Honey through the past years.
