Manuel Stone

Manuel Edward Stone Sr., of Trussville, AL went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2013. He was a proud Marine and later retired from Kraft Foods where he worked in refrigeration. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Venita Christine Stone, and daughter, Teresa Connie Ruth Stone; his parents, Manuel and Jesse Stone; sisters, Maudelle Akers, Elizabeth Chamness, Anita Day, Willie Mae Poole and Rose Nell Stone; sister-in-laws, Rubye Crawford, Marie Beason, Ruth Whitman, Evelyn Rogers, Opal Crain; and brother-in-law, Willard Shelton. He is survived by his children: Eddie Stone (Lisa) of Anniston, David Stone (Karen), of Humble, TX, Mike Stone (Pam) of Pell City, Mark Stone of Garland, TX, Lisa Clem (Rob) of Trussville: grandchildren, Jeff, Teresa (Stephen), Jake, Austin, Michael, Mary, Andrew, Amanda, John David, Jennifer (Jay), Cody, Rebecca, Chase, Nick, Tamara; great grandchildren, Jacob, Mikah, MaKayla, Kitty and Ana; sisters, Ruth Matteo (Frank) and Margaret (Jack) Ryan. The family would like to give special love and appreciation to his first cousins, Jimmy and Elaine Crawford, who never left his side during the last eight months; a true brother and sister of the heart. His funeral service will be held on February 16, 2013, at 1:00 PM, at Covenant Faith Church in Moody, 1216 Markeeta Spur Rd, Moody AL, 35004. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the Church. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Pastor Jason Tuggle and Pastor Wayne Chamness officiating.
