Mabel Allen

Mabel Tucker Allen, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She is the daughter of the late Alvin and Mamie Garner Tucker. She was born on December 21, 1925 in Springville, AL and went to Springville schools. She married O.D. Allen on May 26, 1945. She worked and retired from Sears Roebuck Credit Central in Birmingham, AL. She was a long time member of Ruhama Baptist Church and later joined Irondale First Baptist. Mabel is preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by her 4 children, Ronnie (Carolyn), Gayle Hubbard (Dan), Neal (Debbie) and Jenean Green (Terry) along with 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren also sisters, Fannie Tucker Daniels and Jean Tucker Rhodes (Crit). Services will be on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 10 AM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Brother Ray Russell will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Irondale First Baptist Building Fund. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
