The funeral for Lurline Morell Reyer, age 88, of Centerpoint, AL will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20th at Jefferson Memorial Chapel in Trussville with her two son-in-laws, Reverend Bobby Ray Halbrooks and Reverend Edward Brashier, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Reyer, who died November 17, 2014, was born July 24, 1926 in Limestone Co., AL to Samuel Jacob "Jake" Morell and Lula Hall Morell. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Zelma Mitchell, Lavonia Mealer and Clara Mae Page; brothers: Clarence Christy Morell, Homer Morell, S.J. Morell, Clyde Morell, Samuel Morell and Jacob Morell. Mrs. Reyer is survived by her husband of 73 years, R.D. Reyer; children: Brenda Halbrooks (Bobby Ray), Dorsey Reyer (Gail), Nancy Luanne McDuffie (Jack), David Reyer (Carol), Susan Brashier (Edward); thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Ray Halbrooks, Wesley Halbrooks, Michael Reyer, Jason McDuffie, Christopher Reyer, Jeremy Reyer, Daniel Reyer and John Stalnaker. The family would like to give thanks to special caregivers, Stacey Ousley, Sherri Cain and Becky Arnold. In lieu of flowers, please give donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Alacare Hospice of Hoover, AL or your church or favorite charity.
