Lucile Sandlin

Lucile Powell Sandlin, age 87, of Remlap, Alabama, passed away on April 8, 2014. She was a longstanding member of Remlap First Baptist Church, where she was very active. As a believer in Christ, she trusted in the Lord and loved her family. She is preceded in death by her husband W. M. "Bill" Sandlin, and brother Earl Powell. She is survived by son Don (Debra) Sandlin; daughters, Sheila (Bob) Johnston, Linda Cowden, and Necie (Johnny) Allred; brother, Wilbur (Marian) Powell; grandchildren Derrick, Doug, Jammie, Christie, Jo Ann, Joel, Amanda, Andrew, and Aaron; great-grandchildren Jackson, Aubrey, Logan, Mason, Ty, Bella, and Job. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 10th, from 5 to 7 p.m. and service & burial will be on Friday, April 11th 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Rev. Greg Corbin and Rev. Johnny Allred will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Remlap First Baptist Church.
