Lowell Calven Bentley of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on December 7th, 2023 due to a fall, along with complications from Parkinson’s disease. Lowell was born in Henagar, Alabama to Clarence Bentley and Thelma Brumbeloe Bentley. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Norville and Ormond Bentley. Lowellworked for most of his adult life in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was in sales for McKesson & Robbins drug company, and soon after, started his own business, Arkansas Retail Store Design. Later, Lowell went on to work in the Securities industry. Lowell is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pamela Bohart Bentley, daughter Cheryl Casebere, son Kyle Bentley (Glenda), sister Glenda Robison, four grandchildren: Blair
Casebere, Mason Bentley, Jackson Bentley, Merritt Bentley, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lowell was an active member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, participated in numerous church committees, and sang in the church choir. He loved music, particularly blue grass and southern gospel. Lowell was known for his kindness to others and his quick wit and sense of humor. He will be missed.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at 10:00am at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama.
