Lou Vee Hand, born on March 23, 1932 from Locust Fork, Alabama, left this earth on July 24, 2019 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This beautiful soul leaves behind 3 broken-hearted daughters, Linda Hand Bean, Sandy Hand and Connie Hand Linn (John), along with her pride and joy, her only grandchild, Katie Linn.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, H.L. (“Lloyd”) Hand, who departed this earth 23 years ago. She was also preceded in death by countless family members and friends who she loved deeply.
She graduated from Jefferson Hillman Nursing School and worked as an RN at East End Memorial Hospital until the birth of her first daughter. She never met a stranger and was a friend to all. She made it her goal to bring a smile or laughter to at least one person every day. She found great joy in giving to and doing for others, which she easily accomplished with her humor, wit and comedy. She often said she didn’t care if you were laughing with her or at her; she just wanted to make you laugh.
If you choose to make a donation in her memory, rather than flowers, she did her best to help all non-profits, so make your donation to your charity of choice.
