Lois Butts

LOIS JEAN JONES BUTTS, age 87, of Helena, AL, peacefully passed to her heavenly home on Monday, April 17, 2017. Jean grew up in Irondale, AL, and graduated from Woodlawn High School. She received a degree from Jefferson State Community College, and worked as a real estate agent in Birmingham for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Butts; her parents Giles and Vera Jones; her sisters Annie Lee Berrier and Carole Neeley. She is survived by her daughters Elise Butts Goodwin (Jerry), Susie Hiser (Steve), and Lila Gaddis (Calvin); her grandchildren Jason Hammond (Katrina), Cheryl Hammond (fiance' Tyler), Joel Gaddis (fiancee' Melissa), Luke Gaddis, Michael Hiser (Janea), Elisha Hiser, Ashley Jackson (Keegan); seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (Trussville) on Thursday, April 20th from 10am until 11am with graveside service immediately following in the Masonic Garden of Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Service conducted by Rev. Bo Brown, pastor of Community Baptist Church , Maylene, AL, where Mrs. Butts was a member. The family expresses sincere appreciation to the staff at Shelby Ridge Nursing Rehab and Affinity Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Butts. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
