Linda S. Plummer

Funeral Services for Mrs. Linda S. Plummer, age 77 of Clay, will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. James Long and Rev. Glen Sandifer officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining gardens.

Mrs. Plummer passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at her home. Linda was a loving and devoted wife for 58 years with two children and five grandchildren. She loved working with children as a Sunbeam teacher and children church minister as well as a daycare director. Later, she was a co-director and retired from Clay Senior Activity Center. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren at their activities and playing bonco with her friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church Trussville and loved her small group bible study class.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd A. Plummer III, her daughter, Taffy Perry (Jeff) and her son, Buddy Plummer (Melissa), she was proud of all her grandchildren: Scott Perry, Daniel Perry, Cailyn Plummer, Janna Plummer and Luke Plummer. She is also survived by her twin brothers, Donald Jay Bowman (Diana) and Ronald Ray Bowman (Annette).

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Bowman.

Pallbearers will be Scott Perry, Daniel Perry, Luke Plummer, Danny Barksdale, Charlie Atkins and Whitey Glanton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 9:30 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
