Lillian Wingo, age 90, of Forestdale, AL passed away on July 12, 2014. She was an active and faithful member of Forestdale Baptist Church for over 55 years; a nurse at Children's Hospital for 36 years; member of Rose's Dixie Chicks Red Hat Society and Attended the Adamsville Senior Center. She was preceded in death by: husband, Woodrow Jackson Wingo, Sr.; daughter, LeJune Wingo Otwel; husband Curtis Smith. She is survived by her children: Woodrow Jackson "Buster" Wingo, Jr., of Birmingham and Stephen D. Wingo (Chris), of Prosperity, SC. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Cassandra Thrower, Darleen Bradshaw, Woodrow Wingo, III, Michelle Starr, Lisa Henry, Michael Wingo, Terri Collins and Traci Sanders; 19 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Joy Channell, Dale Johnson and Shirley Henderson. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 15th from 12pm until 2pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2pm. Burial will take place at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Forestdale Baptist Church in Mrs. Wingo's name.
