Lillian Mcwhorter

Lillian Elizabeth Corum McWhorter, age 91 of Argo, AL passed away on August 27, 2014. She was born on July 2, 1923 in Hart County, Bonnieville, Kentucky, the daughter of Elmer and Maude Rucker Corum. She married Luther (Link) W. McWhorter on August 9, 1941 in Peoria, IL, he passed away on August 25, 2000. Lillian was a homemaker and was a receptionist and bookkeeper for Lincoln Transfer Company, the company she and Link owned. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Howard, Ishmel, and Marshall; a son, William Floyd, a daughter, Judy Vogel, granddaughter, step-granddaughter, 2 great grandsons, 1 great granddaughter, and 2 step-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Michael McWhorter of Argo, AL, Ronald McWhorter (Audrey) of Bloomington, IL, Joyce Henson (Carl) of Centerpoint, AL, Linda McWhorter of Ellijay, Georgia, and Becky Macy (Curtis) of Wellborn, FL; son-in-law, Jerry Vogel of Argo, AL; daughter-in-law, Louise McWhorter of Clarence, IL; sisters, Opal Cox (Leon) of Bogard, MO and Rovena Burgess (Milton) of Bloomington, IL; brothers, Stanley Corum (Sue) of Pleasureville, KY and David Corum (Janet) of Lafayette, IN; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
