Lilaoise Bruns

Lilaoise Holman Bruns left this life on January 28, 2010. She was born September 23, 1923 in the small town of Wetumpka, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband of many years, Arthur W. Bruns and her parents, Lacy and Lillian Holman. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a sister and her caregiver, Cleo Holman; two daughters, Carol Hagmaier (Jerry) of Mobile and Janet Nichols (George) of Trussville; grandchildren, Jason Hagmaier (Mona) of Mobile, Graham Hagmaier (Griselda) of Los Angeles CA, Brad Bullock (Stephanie) of Hoover, Brittany Culp (Robin) of West Chester PA, Marsha Jarrell (Todd) of Argo and Nick Nichols (Crystal) of Birmingham. She was so fortunate to see all of her great grandchildren born, Megan Hagmaier of Mobile, Logan and Landon Culp of PA, Hannah and Hayden Bullock of Hoover, Kelsie Williamson and Jayson Jarrell both of Argo and Caitlin and Madison Nichols of Birmingham. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid scrabble player and loved to work word puzzles. She also leaves behind her favorite scrabble partner, Barbara Higgins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30 beginning at 2:00 PM with Parlor Services at 3:00 PM with Christopher Jones officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. The family wishes to give many thanks to all of the nurses with Hospice Complete. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
