LESLIE SWAIN QUICK Jr., Leslie left this life on June 4, 2015 to be received into a better place. His passing was peaceful and in his sleep. Leslie was born on October 17, 1925, in Trussville, Alabama, the first born of four children. He lived in Trussville most of his life. He met his first wife Wanda while in Kansas serving in the Navy. They had two children, Judy and Larry. Later he met his second wife Jacqueline and accepted her two children as his own, Connie and Ronnie. Leslie and Jackie were married 43 years until her passing in 1998. In 1944 he joined the Navy and served 2 years receiving an honorable discharge. He worked in the Birmingham, Alabama area until his retirement. From 1953 to 1973 he worked for Hayes International Corp. From 1973 to 1977 He owned and operated his own auto parts store. He and Jackie were 30 year members of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Birmingham. He and Jackie moved to Foley, Alabama in 1996. After moving they joined the First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores, Al. He was preceded in death by his Wife Jacqueline, his Father Leslie, his Mother Lillian, his Brother Robert and Sister Inez. He is survived by his Sister Betty; Children, Judy, Larry, Connie and Ronald; 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be at Birmingham's Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, Al. between the hours of 5:00-7:00 pm. on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Monday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held in Gulf Shores at the First Baptist Church at a date to be determined.
