Leroy Giles

Leroy Giles, 81 of Trussville passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. He was born in Cullman, Alabama on July 25, 1932 to the late Malone and Howard Giles. Mr. Giles served in the military in Korea from 1953 - 1955. He was preceded in death by his brothers Dwight, Dewey, Howard, Ray, Johnny and Joe. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Jo Bradley Giles; his children, Cherri Hovies, Margie (Mike) Holloway, Barry (Kathy) Giles, Laura (Kirk) Smith and Amy (Tim) Robinson; his grandchildren Abby (Jake) Merrill, Molly (Garrett) Lyvers, Maria Smith, Hannah Giles, Connor Robinson and Doster Robinson; great grandchildren Adalynn Merrill and Charlie Lyvers; sister Nell (Charlie) Strawbridge and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10:00 to noon at Jefferson Memorial funeral home in Trussville, AL. The funeral service will follow at noon. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org).
