Leonard Yates

YATES, LEONARD LLOYD age 78, of Bibb County, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2011. Leonard, who was commonly referred to for most of his life by his family and friends as "Lloyd" had spent the majority of his life as an independent trucker hauling for various companies such as Alabama Freight, Howard Hall, Eagle, and lastly Bruno's Food Stores. Leonard was also a veteran of the US Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Jean Yates; his son Wayne (Steven) Yates; his daughter, Becky L. Stephens; his stepson, David Wood; Grandchildren, Wayne S. Yates, Jr; Melissa S. Yates; Jonathan L. Yates; Tiffany LaShae Stephens; Christian M. Stephens; Devon Wood; Great grandchildren, Kadence A. Tannahill; Zackary W. Yates; his three sisters, Cauline McCain; Geraldine Shaddix; Judy Owsley; His brother, Russell (Rusty) Yates.
