Leo Langner

Dr. Leo Glenn Langner, of Trussville, passed away April 30, 2009 at the age of 70. He was a retired family practice physician at Medical Center East, currently St. Vincent's East, for 44 years. He was a member of Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church, Jefferson County Medical Society, and The American Medical Association. He was a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves and he received his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and received his medical degree from U.A.B school of medicine. Dr. Langner was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Leo Langner. He is survived by his wife: Anita Langner, children: Jeff (Tracy) Langner, Shannon (Jeff) Ready, Mark (Deanna) Langner, Reagan Langner, Chad Langner, Debbie (Danny) Cooner, and Jeff (Sharon) McQueen; two brothers, Gene Langner, Donald (Blanche) Langner; grandchildren, Kevin Langner, Kaleigh and Katie Akers, Emily and Elizabeth Langner, Jared Clark, Jordan Clark, Taylor Cooner, Kelly Wood, Michael Cooner, Ryan McQueen and Carley McQueen and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving pets, Alley, Sydney, Jacob, Auburn and Mazy;. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1 from 5:00 i�½" 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Chapel services on Saturday, May 2 at 2:00 PM with Father Bill Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Parkinson's Foundation.
