Len Burke

Len G. Burke, age 76, of Oneonta, formerly of Birmingham, passed away February 14, 2010. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School in 1952 and Auburn University class of 1960 where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He retired from Young and Van Supply Co after 35 years of service. He was a member of Irondale First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Woodard and Della Burke, and brother W. B. Burke Jr. Services will be on Wednesday Feb 17 at 2pm in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday. He is survived by his wife Martha S. Burke, sons Jamie (Alice) Burke, Len G. (Sue) Burke Jr., John R. (Sheila) Burke, granddaughters Alyson D. Burke, Ashton Miller, grandsons Phillip L. (Sara) Burke, Preston Burke, Robert E. Burke, John R. Burke Jr., Alan Briles, great grandchildren Parker Burke, Lilly Burke, Ashlan Briles, sister Letty Lathem, sister-in-law Betty Burke, a host of nieces and nephews.
