Coleman, Lee Roy Jr., age 80, died on 6 April 2013, who was born in Birmingham, AL on March 12, 1933. He was a retiree of the Transportation Dept. of AmSouth Bank. He lived on the Eastern area of Birmingham, AL. except for the service in the Army as an Administrative Clerk during the Korean Conflict, where he was stationed in Alaska on the Dew Line Base. He is graduate of Woodlawn High School. He was preceded in death after a marriage of 46 years to Nilie Mae Shepard Coleman, who passed away January 2003. Also preceded by his parents, Lee Roy Coleman Sr. & Florence Elsie Newton, buried at Hokes Bluff Cemetery, Hokes Bluff, AL. He is survived by his son, Richard (Sheryll) Coleman, daughter, Bonnie Coleman (Perry) Watson, grandchildren Crystina (Charles), Eric (Kristie), Michael Watson, Ryan, Jason, Amber & Tyler Coleman, & great-grand children: Olivia, Cameron, Andrew, and Jaden Watson. Also survived by his sister in law, Yvonne (Kurt) Wentz, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Dr. Mickey Morgan will be officiating over the services.
