Lawson Stidham, Jr

Lawson R. Stidham, Jr., age 80, of Birmingham passed away on November 24, 2017. Mr. Stidham retired from U.S. postal service in the Birmingham area after 30 years of service. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after four years of service. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial's adjoining gardens. Mr. Stidham is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sonia Stidham; daughters, Teresa Townes (Mike) and Janet Smith (Ricky); son, Nick Stidham (Jamie); sister, Jean Ling; brothers, James H. Stidham (Judy) and David Stidham (Connie); eight grandchildren, Jason, Corey, Selina, Brooklynn, Emma, Erika, Caitlin and Cherish; four great grandchildren, Michaela, Madison, McKenzie and Jesse; numerous nieces and nephews and other family member and loved ones.
