Lawrence Esby Adams, age 80, of Tarrant, passed away on February 6, 2017. Lawrence was a Mason, Shriner, and a clown unit member of the Wahoma Lodge. While he was in good health, he enjoyed escorting numerous patients to the Shriner's Hospital. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Alabama National Guard, and Alabama Air National Guard. He retired from the 117th Alabama Air National Guard. He was a proud veteran of Vietnam and Desert Shield, as well as numerous other deployments. He loved to fish and was a practical jokester. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved to make sure his family was always taken care of. He loved to have all of his family and friends around him. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Tarrant, AL. He and his lovely wife, Marion, were married for 59 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esby and Nora Adams; son, Ronald Adams; and brother, Sammy Adams. He is survived by his wife, Marion; sons, Larry (Pam) and Kenneth (Vanessa); brothers, Tommy (Rozelle) and Carl; grandchildren, Josh (Amanda), Jesse (Sarah), Marc (Melissa), Brent and Kurt (Valerie); and great grandchildren, Aria and Rebecca. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 12pm at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, with Rev. Roy Spears officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10am until 12pm.
