Laura Fowler

Laura Mae Fowler, age 89, of Vestavia, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013. She was born in Montgomery in 1924 to Ocie and Dallie Moore. Mrs. Fowler was a member of South Roebuck Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Morris E. Murphree and her second husband, Carl Fowler. She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Belle (Brad), Becky Reilly (David), and Judy Long (Rod); grandchildren, Jeff Belle (Stacy), Scott Teel (Melody), Julie Gardner (Darren), Suzanne Mills (Kirk), Adam Long (Brandi), and Carlye Long; 11 great grandchildren; and her special canine companion, Phoebe. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 1-2 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. A graveside service will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East at 2:00 pm with Pastor Steve West and Rev. Willie Smith officiating.
