Larry C. Williams "Sissy", 65, of Pinson, AL passed away on March 8, 2017. He was formerly from McDonalds Chapel. He was a member of Parkview Church of God. Larry retired in 2016 as a bus driver with Kermit-Johnson/Jefferson County. He mentored many children throughout his lifetime. He spent many years coaching his children and grandchildren in sports. Larry took great pride in being a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family was his life. Larry was an active part of his wife's day care (Carson Village Day Care) and worked with school age children. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Williams, daughter, Terri Williams Russell, mother-in-law, Louise Talley, mother, Lorene Williams, son-in-law, Mike Hand and sister-in-law, Jeanette Eaves (Allen). He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce Williams; children, Lorrie Hand and Mark Williams (Paige); sister, Joanie Cottingham (Larry); grandchildren, Drew Russell (Tiffany), Codey Hand, Dylan Russell, Derek Russell, Trevor Bagley, Carlee Hand, Kaylee Williams, Hunter Hand, Savanna Williams and Casidee Williams and great grandchild, Kinlee Russell as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Saturday at 10 AM in the chapel and the burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
