Larry Coleman, 71, passed away on February 3, 2024, in Birmingham, Al.

Larry was born on August 12, 1952 in Birmingham, AL, to Layron Coleman and Sadie Marie Coleman.

Larry graduated from Tarrant High School. He retired from Kraft Foods/Silgan Containers after 32 years. 

Larry married Mary Hodo on September 24, 2002 in Birmingham. Larry has 1 son, Aaron Coleman.

Larry's favorite things were Tennis/weightlifting/physical fitness, he loved attending church, daily prayer and devotionals, his wife Mary's cooking and eating out, and spending time with his family. Larry was an avid bird watcher and cared deeply for his 16 year old pet companion, Bosco. 

Larry is survived by Mary Hodo Coleman - wife, Aaron Coleman - son, Melinda Hodo, step-daughter, Danny Hodo, step-son, Glenn Coleman - brother, Shirley Benefield - step-sister, Laren Hodo Nunez - step-granddaughter, Lonnie Hodo - step-grandson, Daniel Simpson - step-grandson, Matthew Simpson - step-grandson.

Larry is preceded in death by Sadie Marie Steelman - mother, Layron Coleman - father, Odessa Coleman - Stepmother, Ted Steelman - Brother.

The service for Mr Larry Coleman will be held on Tuesday, at 2:00 PM at Pinson Methodist Church.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, at 1:00 PM at Pinson Methodist Church.

Burial will follow at  Marvin's Chapel Cemetary, Pinson, Al.

In lieu of flowers: Memorial donations can be made in Larry's name to Pinson Methodist Church.
