Kitty Sue Hollis

July 23, 1938 — January 31, 2025

Kitty Sue Hollis of Locust Fork Alabama passed away at the UAB Palliative Care Center in Birmingham Alabama after a brief illness. She was born on July 23, 1938 in Noxapater Mississippi to O’Neal Harris and Etta B. Burnette Harris. She was a hard-working, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. During her career, she worked at Dolly Madison Bakery and SouthTrust Bank where she retired after 25 years service. She enjoyed gardening, boating, shopping and spending time with her family.

She was a long time member of Locust Fork Baptist and ladies Sunday School classes. She enjoyed volunteering in the nursery as well.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Hollis, mother, Etta Beatrice Hall and sister Beatrice Irene Whiddon.

She is survived by the following: Son, Johnny Wright (Deb), son Charles Wright, daughter Donna Frazier (Jeff), granddaughter Ashley Phillips (Jason), granddaughter Courtney Wright West (Brandon), great grandson Landon Phillips, great granddaughter Allie Phillips, great grandson Brayden Muddiman great-grandson Grayson Muddiman as well as a host of other family members.

The family would like to thank the UAB Neuro Intensive Care Unit and UAB Palliative Care teams for their loving care they provided.
